If you own a creative small business that's looking to build your online presence, I'd love to learn your story and create something that helps you stand out.
A quick run down
Who am I?
Hello, my name is Tyler Dawson. I am a freelance web developer and designer based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
What do I do?
I design and build beautiful experiences on the web. I love working with start-ups and small businesses to help establish a strong online presence, allowing their business to thrive.
How can I help?
Whether you're looking to create a portfolio or setup an e-commerce site, I have the skills to present your clients with a site that starts a conversation.
Philosophy & values
I believe that communication is essential to our growth and development as people. This same principle applies to efficient business. Communication is a key factor in my success, keeping it at the forefront of each phase of my process. By developing lasting relationships with my clients, I can better understand the specific needs and goals of their business.
Skillset
My expertise in these skills are the driving force behind delivering a beautiful and fluid web experience; not only for you, but for your clients as well.
Webflow Development
A great design is a start, but a website still needs to be developed into a functioning tool for your business. I use Webflow to develop most project builds. This modern tool allows for quicker turnaround times on my part, as well as offers you the option to update your own content with their CMS tools.
UX / UI Design
Regardless of what the old idiom says, most people still judge a book by its cover. Your website is your first and sometimes only connection with your client. My goal is to make that first impression count. From the visual design to how your clients interact with your site and everything in between.
Custom Code
Every business is unique, as well as the needs of that business. If your site needs something specific, I can hand-code those elements with traditional HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Accessibility
With roughly 15% of the global population suffering from some form of disablility, it is critical that a site be accessible to all types of users. I develop website with these people in mind.
Business Card Design
A professional-looking business card is imperative to networking. It allows you to quickly hand out your information while looking well prepared. Having me design your cards gives you the benefit of having a consistent, well-established, and recognizable brand that complements your website.
Custom Logo Design
If your small business is just starting out, you probably need a logo to brand your business and make it recognizable. I offer fully custom logo design options that incorporate illustrative elements of your business theme. As well as more simplified logos. We can work together to decide which is best for your needs.

Guided by the creative vision of owners Jag and Josh, who share a deep affection for 70s-style patterns and bright, bold tattoos; this website captures the essence of their artistic spirit. Drawing inspiration from their love for retro aesthetics, this project seamlessly blends modern web design with a nostalgic touch, delivering an online platform that mirrors the unique charm of Sweet Heart Tattoo.

This portfolio adopts a minimalistic black and white design accented with touches of blue, a subtle homage to her distinctive hair color. This understated yet impactful design serves as the perfect backdrop, allowing Whitley's captivating work to command the spotlight.

While every business is unique and has specific needs, I utilize the same step-by-step process to ensure I deliver a stunning-looking website that showcases your business exactly how you intended.
My process is laid out in 5 distinct phases that will keep us on track and accountable as we work together to build you something great.
Conversation
Our partnership begins with a consultation. I like to meet in person if possible, though an online meeting or a phone call works as well; whichever option best suits you. During our consult, I like to get to know a bit about you and learn about your business. This allows me to better understand your struggles and your goals.
I strongly believe that good communication is crucial to doing business successfully and I aim to keep it at the forefront of the project throughout the other phases.
Project Proposal
During this phase, you will be sent a Project Proposal that outlines the scope of work, cost of the project, as well as an estimated timeline for project completion. Along with this proposal, you will also be sent a Website Contract.
This is a legally binding contract that goes over more of the nitty-gritty of doing business. Don't worry though! I did my best to keep it free of complicated legal terms or passages of confusing text. Though, if you are still confused by any of the wording, feel free to reach out and I can explain it in better detail. I want to make sure you know exactly what you are signing.
Content
After establishing what your goals are for your site, it's time to start writing out the content for the pages. This will include all of the images, paragraphs, social links, etc. This is a great time to brainstorm with your team and determine how best to express your business and its values.
I am available to help with wording and descriptions throughout this phase. Working together, we will come up with the best way to represent your business.
Design / Develop
This is the part where you get to relax and allow me to take over the heavy lifting. At this point, it's time to take everything we've discussed and create your online presence. This phase is broken up into two key sections.
Design - I will design a mock-up of your site using industry-standard UX and UI practices that will give your clients a lasting first impression that displays trust and authority. As well as seamless navigation, allowing the client to travel the path of least resistance right to you. Before moving on to the next step, I will share the design with you and your team, allowing for any changes before moving forward.
Develop - Once the design has been agreed upon, it's time to turn that design into a fully functioning website. This site will be responsive on all devices, as well as access to various types of users.
Publish / Manage
I will share a staging link to your fully functioning website. This is a great time to share the site with your team for one final check before it is published on the web. At this point, I like to go back through our previous discussions and make sure I have presented you with a site that meets all of your requirements and exceeds your expectations.
I will also show you how you can manage your own content going forward. This will allow you to make adjustments to photos, or text without breaking the site. But if that's not your thing, you can always keep me in charge of maintaining and updating your site; that way you can focus on your business and your clients.
Let's make it happen
I'd love to learn more about your project, your business, and your needs. If you're interested in setting up a consultation, please reach out using this form. I aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.
